Welcome to Pewcentric™. These policies explain how our marketplace works, what’s expected of buyers and sellers, and how we keep the community safe.
Last Updated: 2026-01-27
What’s Changed in This Update
This update adds explicit marketplace standards and clarifications to improve transparency and alignment with how Pewcentric operates. Key updates include:
- Explicit clarification that listings are reviewed before being published on the marketplace
- Clarification of Prohibited Items defining what may not be listed or sold
- Clarification that listing review does not imply ongoing monitoring or endorsement
- Addition of no-agency language clarifying that sellers do not act on Pewcentric’s behalf
- Addition of a no-professional-advice disclaimer for services, training, and instructional content
- Clarification that platform availability and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed
These updates are intended to improve clarity, consistency, and enforceability. No action is required to continue using the platform.
1. Marketplace Overview
Pewcentric is an online marketplace platform that connects buyers and sellers for the sale of products, services, training, and related offerings. Pewcentric is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers and does not manufacture, store, inspect, ship, provide, or control products or services listed on the platform.
Nothing in these Terms creates any agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or representative relationship between Pewcentric and any seller.
2. Listing Review and Marketplace Standards
Pewcentric operates as a curated marketplace. Listings are reviewed before they are published to ensure they align with the platform’s focus, standards, and applicable policies.
Listing review is performed at the time of submission and does not imply approval, endorsement, verification, or ongoing monitoring of a seller or their products or services.
Pewcentric may refuse, remove, or require modification of any listing at any time if it determines that the listing violates these Terms, applicable laws, or marketplace standards.
3. Prohibited Items
Pewcentric does not allow the listing or sale of the following items on the marketplace:
- Firearms of any kind
- Ammunition or explosive materials
- Serialized firearm components, including frames or receivers
- Any product, service, or listing that is illegal under applicable federal, state, or local laws or regulations
- Any item that Pewcentric determines, at its discretion, is unsafe, inappropriate, or inconsistent with the marketplace
This list is illustrative and not exhaustive.
Listings are reviewed before they go live. Pewcentric may remove listings or take enforcement action if a listing violates this policy.
4. Fees and Payments
Listing Fees
Creating and publishing listings on Pewcentric is currently free. Pewcentric does not charge a fee to create, edit, or maintain active listings at this time.
Marketplace Commission Rate
The Marketplace Commission Rate is 10% of the total transaction amount, as defined below.
Transaction Fees
When a transaction is successfully completed through the Pewcentric platform, Pewcentric charges a transaction fee calculated using the Marketplace Commission Rate.
For purposes of these Terms, the “total transaction amount” includes:
- the final sale price of the item,
- shipping charges, and
- applicable sales tax or other government-imposed taxes collected at checkout.
Payment Processing
All payments are processed through third-party payment processors. Pewcentric does not store full payment card information and is not responsible for errors, delays, or failures caused by payment processors.
Payouts to Sellers
Seller payouts are typically initiated within 3–5 business days after a transaction is marked as Completed. Payouts may be delayed or withheld in cases involving suspected fraud, disputes, chargebacks, policy violations, or compliance reviews.
Refunds and Fee Adjustments
If a transaction is refunded in full, Pewcentric may adjust or refund the associated transaction fee, subject to payment processor limitations. Partial refunds may result in partial fee adjustments. Transaction fees may not be refundable in all circumstances.
Fee Changes
Pewcentric reserves the right to modify the Marketplace Commission Rate or other fees at any time. Any changes will apply prospectively only and will not affect transactions completed prior to the effective date of the change. Pewcentric will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of material fee changes.
5. Transaction Completion
For purposes of these Terms, a transaction is considered “Completed” as follows:
Fixed Price Products
For Fixed Price purchases involving physical products, a transaction is considered Completed on the earlier of:
- the buyer marking the order as received through the Pewcentric platform; or
- fourteen (14) days after the seller marks the order as shipped or delivered through the Pewcentric platform, if the buyer does not take action.
Services
For service bookings, a transaction is considered Completed two (2) days after the seller accepts the service request through the Pewcentric platform.
Transaction completion is a marketplace designation used for payout timing and dispute eligibility and does not necessarily correspond to physical delivery, service performance, or fulfillment dates.
6. Buyer Disputes and Buyer Protection Timing
Dispute Eligibility Window
Buyers must initiate any dispute, claim, or request for Buyer Protection within fourteen (14) days of the transaction being marked as Completed.
Disputes initiated outside of this timeframe may not be eligible for review or resolution.
Relationship to Completion
Dispute timing is independent of payment collection, delivery dates, or service performance dates.
Issues Raised Before Completion
If a buyer believes a seller has failed to ship a product or perform a service within the stated timeframe, the buyer should contact the seller through the platform before completion. Pewcentric may intervene or delay completion at its discretion.
Finality
Once the dispute eligibility window expires, the transaction is final for Buyer Protection purposes.
7. Services, Training, and Instruction Disclaimers
Pewcentric does not provide, supervise, or guarantee services or training. Sellers are independent third parties and solely responsible for their services.
Information, training, or instructional content provided by sellers is for general educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional, legal, medical, or safety advice. Buyers are responsible for determining whether any product, service, or training is appropriate for their use.
Buyers voluntarily assume all risks associated with services, including injury, loss, or damage.
Transaction completion does not confirm that a service has been performed or delivered satisfactorily.
8. Seller Enforcement and Account Actions
Pewcentric’s enforcement actions are intended to protect the integrity of the marketplace and its users.
Pewcentric may take enforcement action in its sole discretion for violations of these Terms or harmful conduct, including listing removal, account suspension or termination, payout holds, or order cancellations.
9. Buyer Misuse and Abuse
Buyer Protection is designed to address legitimate issues, not to penalize good-faith buyers.
Buyers may not engage in false disputes, refund abuse, chargeback abuse, coercion, or fee circumvention. Pewcentric may restrict or terminate buyer accounts for misuse.
10. Content Ownership and License Rights
Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Pewcentric a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, host, display, distribute, and promote such content in connection with the platform and its marketing.
Pewcentric may remove or modify content at any time.
11. Jurisdictional Compliance and Geographic Restrictions
Sellers are solely responsible for determining whether their listings, products, services, or content may be lawfully offered, sold, delivered, or accessed in any jurisdiction, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Pewcentric does not provide legal, regulatory, or compliance advice and does not verify jurisdiction-specific compliance.
Pewcentric may restrict or remove listings or transactions based on geographic location or legal considerations, including without prior notice where appropriate.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Pewcentric platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.
Pewcentric does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform and may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or functionality at any time.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pewcentric shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Pewcentric’s total liability arising out of or related to the platform or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of:
- fees paid to Pewcentric by the user in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or
- $100 USD.
13. Indemnification
Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pewcentric and its owners, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from the user’s use of the platform, listings, services, content, transactions, disputes, or violations of law.
This obligation survives termination.
14. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Pewcentric platform shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
Users knowingly and voluntarily waive any right to a trial by jury.
15. Miscellaneous
Modifications to These Terms
Pewcentric may modify or update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be effective upon posting to the platform, unless otherwise stated.
By continuing to access or use the platform after updated Terms are posted, users agree to be bound by the revised Terms. Pewcentric is not required to obtain renewed acceptance or provide individualized notice of updates, except where required by applicable law.
Pewcentric may, in its discretion, provide notice of material changes to these Terms through the platform, by email, or through other reasonable means.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between users and Pewcentric regarding use of the platform.
